“We need to be careful not to take on any new projects.”<\/span><\/i>
\n<\/span>Fortunately, I have heard this statement only a few times during my professional life. Yet whenever an entrepreneur hears these words from a partner or colleague, they should immediately trigger a warning signal.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They certainly did for me.<\/span> \u00a0<\/span>Because if you own or manage a company, you should <\/span>always<\/span><\/b> be looking to take on new business.<\/span> That is a fundamental principle.
\n<\/span>In that particular case, the concern arose because <\/span>MICROingranaggi<\/span><\/b> was receiving enough new orders to bring our production capacity close to saturation.<\/span>
\n<\/span>In reality, that was good news.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Of course, it also meant that the company would need to evolve in order to meet growing demand.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And that is exactly what we did.<\/span> We reorganized production areas, hired new personnel, invested in new technologies, and adapted our operations accordingly.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Many of you already know my view on this subject: <\/span>Change is not merely necessary\u2014it is the essential condition for any meaningful growth.<\/span>
\n<\/span>That said, change is also demanding.<\/span>
\n<\/span>It requires a tremendous amount of mental energy, as well as time and financial investment.<\/span>
\n<\/span>And it inevitably creates stress.<\/span>
\n<\/span>In my opinion, that stress can only be managed successfully when passion for what you do outweighs purely financial motivations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When you genuinely love your work, you will always find the motivation to improve.<\/span>
\n<\/span>If your only objective is the company itself\u2014or, more specifically, its profits\u2014finding that motivation becomes much more difficult.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

This is not to say that profitability is unimportant.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Ideally, a business should be driven by both passion and financial performance.<\/span>
\n<\/span>But when passion disappears, everything becomes considerably more complicated.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why do I bring this up?<\/span> Because I believe that anyone who manages a company without seeking change or continuous improvement is ultimately managing a business without genuine passion\u2014and, sooner or later, that company stops growing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today’s world moves at an extraordinary pace.<\/span> What works today may be outdated tomorrow and obsolete the day after.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

It is passion that drives us to observe our business with a critical eye and recognize when something needs to change.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Sometimes the improvement may be relatively simple\u2014for example, relocating a production department to improve efficiency.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It may not sound revolutionary, but it still requires careful thought, planning, and investment.<\/span>
\n<\/span>The principle of natural selection has always applied to business as much as it does elsewhere.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What seems different today is the speed at which that process unfolds.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The pace of both business and everyday life has accelerated dramatically, making adaptation more important than ever.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In short,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

companies that refuse to change and innovate have, in my opinion, already begun their countdown.<\/span>
\n<\/span>It is simply a matter of time.<\/span>
\n<\/span>At the same time, success depends on making the right decisions at the right moment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Those who make poor decisions\u2014or who wait too long to act\u2014face the very same risks as those who choose not to change at all.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n
