To be honest, I have never understood those who refuse to embrace new technologies or those who seem to be proud of their decision (especially amongst the younger generations). This doesn’t mean that everyone should introduce all the complex systems available to assist our daily life, but I think it is increasingly clear that there are a number of must-have technologies. And I don’t mean smartphones and tablets, but the entire universe that gravitates around them.<\/p>\n

So that brings me to us.<\/p>\n

In just a few days we will be \u201cpushing the famous button\u201d that will turn MICROingranaggi into a certified smart factory<\/a> plant, in line with the Industry 4.0 standards.<\/h2>\n

The famous button that will radically change the processes and our modus operandi.<\/p>\n

So, after months and months of investments, installations, tests, to name just a few<\/a>, I can say that, despite the inborn physiological resistance to change that characterizes many<\/strong>,<\/p>\n

I am convinced that the majority of our collaborators embrace and accept the new technologies that are about to overturn our day-to-day work activities. And this is an undoubtedly a key factor.<\/h2>\n

Why am I so convinced? Because the systems and technologies we are talking about are not designed to take the place of persons<\/strong>, but to support them in their daily routines (both inside and outside the workplace), And the fact that the work load gets lighter for all concerned, has to be a positive plus. Especially if we think that it will leave us more time to dedicate to more gratifying activities, thanks to the automation of all the most repetitive tasks.<\/p>\n

A CNC machine operator, for instance, will continue to have the task of preparing and starting up the plant system. If the document related to the production order is sent to the machine via a QR rather than a bar code reader or similar, instead of copying it manually, there is little change because the operator will still be performing his same job. He will simply be doing so in a slightly different manner.<\/p>\n

There is also another reason that makes me think that my colleagues (and not only) are looking forward to this transformation. A reason that is sometimes rather overlooked.<\/p>\n

Whether we talk of software or hardware,<\/p>\n

these new technologies are so simple and user-friendly that, on the contrary to what some fearmongers initially expected, they do not complicate the life of anyone … quite the opposite!<\/h2>\n

Unfortunately this is not always the case and so I feel I should emphasize that, in most situations<\/p>\n

So: is it possible that the introduction of Industry 4.0 technologies will put some professions at risk? No, not in our case at least.
\nWill it change habits consolidated over time? It undoubtedly will … but with an exceptionally positive outcome.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
