{"id":4261,"date":"2018-10-05T15:15:11","date_gmt":"2018-10-05T13:15:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.microingranaggi.it\/?p=4261"},"modified":"2018-10-05T15:15:11","modified_gmt":"2018-10-05T13:15:11","slug":"delays-in-delivery-times-what-is-the-situation-of-foreign-suppliers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microjournal.microingranaggi.it\/en\/delays-in-delivery-times-what-is-the-situation-of-foreign-suppliers\/","title":{"rendered":"Delays in delivery times: what is the situation of foreign suppliers?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Only last week I talked about the difficulty in identifying suppliers who are able to maintain the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microingranaggi.it\/en\/seeking-valid-and-reliable-suppliers\/\">correct balance between high quality, competitive prices and efficient organization<\/a>.\u00a0I think it is right to add, however, that\u00a0<strong>this situation applies both to the Italian suppliers and to the foreign suppliers with whom we are dealing<\/strong>.\u00ad<br \/>\nAnd the greatest problem we are experiencing concerns\u00a0<strong>delivery times<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Contrary then to what might some time ago have been an opinion shared by many &#8211; that Italians are disorganized and are often unable to honour the commitments assumed &#8211; today we find that<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0even the foreign suppliers that we are using are presenting the same problems: they are late in delivering goods.\u00a0Have you experienced this too?<\/h2>\n<p>Most certainly\u00a0<strong>the wave of recovery<\/strong>\u00a0that is affecting the majority of Italian companies, inundating them with work, is also affecting foreign enterprises, consequently making it difficult for them to manage the emergency due to the abnormal workload.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0The result is that those who before used foreign suppliers are now trying to replace them with Italian ones.<\/h2>\n<p>Let&#8217;s think about our case, for example.\u00a0We are increasingly receiving requests for compatible components for gearboxes produced by German companies, precisely because our colleagues\/competitors in Germany have delivery times of 8\/10 months.\u00a0Requests that obviously we cannot satisfy because it would make no sense (not now, at least) for us to start to produce mechanical and electromechanical components competing with those made by the German giants.\u00a0It is well known, in fact, that\u00a0<strong>MICROingranaggi<\/strong>\u00a0focuses on market niches in which these giants have no interest in tapping into.<\/p>\n<p>From what I understand, moreover, this is not just an impression that we have.\u00a0 More or less since the last edition of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mecspe.com\/it\/\">MECSPE<\/a><\/strong>, and therefore approximately since last March, I have noticed that many Italian companies are complaining about the delivery times of Swiss and German companies, enterprises, therefore, whose strong points are typically\u00a0<strong>punctuality<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>unexceptionable organisation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Where we Italians were perhaps more creative and better at inventing new products and solutions, the Swiss and the Germans (to give just one example) were more organised and therefore reliable.\u00a0And often, precisely for these reasons, they &#8220;stole&#8221; market shares.<\/p>\n<p>Do you think this is a temporary situation or might it be, all factors considered, a\u00a0<strong>good opportunity<\/strong>\u00a0for a revival for many\u00a0<strong>Italian companies<\/strong>?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Only last week I talked about the difficulty in identifying suppliers who are able to maintain the correct balance between high quality, competitive prices and efficient organization.\u00a0I think it is right to add, however, that\u00a0this situation applies both to the Italian suppliers and to the foreign suppliers with whom we are dealing.\u00ad And the greatest [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":4254,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[4146,4151],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-4261","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-ideas","category-point-of-view"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v27.3 (Yoast SEO v27.3) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-premium-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Delays in delivery times: what is the situation of foreign suppliers?
